The transformation of the Old Cannery Building (circa 1900, also known as the Cascade Laundry) into a nine-story mixed-use residential building will continue the evolution of the Pioneer Square neighborhood. Formerly three stories, the building lost its upper floors following the 1949 earthquake.
Located in the Pioneer Square Historic District, the new design will preserve the existing and architecturally significant one-story facade. Residential lofts will have soaring 10-foot ceilings, large windows and a roof deck with indoor/outdoor amenity space. The project was approved by the Pioneer Square Review Board.
