HEWITT designed the renovation and addition to this three-story concrete pier and former fish processing center, home to 350 Port employees, on Seattle’s central waterfront.
The first floor includes the lobby and Port Commission chambers, private commercial and water-oriented uses, and the Portside Cafe. The top two floors are Port offices organized around an atrium that is skylighted through restored roof monitors. Terminal facilities and site design for the Victoria Clipper are also part of the project. This project and Bell Harbor project, also designed by HEWITT, established the architectural tone of the north waterfront.
