Bell Street Pier remains a symbol of success for the City as the first step in its effort to revitalize and transform the waterfront. It is a global meeting center and premier homeport facility home to a conference center, cruise ship terminal, maritime museum, restaurants, retail, waterfront plaza and short stay moorage.
Inspired by the colors and forms of a working waterfront, elements were composed to create a sense of human scale and discovery. A bold, clear design with some 1,200 linear feet of streetscapes, a 10,000 square foot central plaza and boardwalk, a children’s play fountain, a roof view terrace, and pedestrian bridges that link Pier 66 to Belltown. The roof terrace on the conference center allows visitors direct access to the waterfront (a challenge given entitlement restrictions).
