At a pivotal corridor linking the iconic Harbor Steps development with the future Waterfront Park, Cyrene is a modern, 17-story residential tower located between the historic waterfront and the heart of the City’s downtown core.

Cyrene is the first multifamily project completed along a central waterfront area that will be revitalized with a new 26-block park after demolition of the aging Alaskan Way Viaduct. Cyrene’s 169 units replaced a surface parking lot and improves the pedestrian experience.

At street level, planters contain resilient plantings responding to urban conditions but match the historic and industrial transitional aesthetic of the neighborhood. A green roof above the podium provides visual interest to residences on level and above while collecting and filtering stormwater runoff.

Residents have access to an expansive rooftop deck with sweeping views of the Puget Sound plus semi-private cabanas, dog run, and outdoor kitchen. Planters contain swathes of soft grasses that bend and move with seasonal breezes.  Sturdy wood outdoor furniture complements a double-sided fire place to entice residents to linger in cool weather.
