This new Green Lake community is designed to create a village experience. Three residential buildings are arranged around two linear street level courts lined with retail spaces anchored by a locally owned grocery store and underground parking.
Two mid-block connectors are the main feature. They add pedestrian movement through the full block site. One pathway creates a smaller scale pedestrian experience with multiple restaurants and boutique retail stores. The second, a wider mews, allows the grocery store to activate the sidewalk with displays of produce and flowers.
Residential amenities include a roof garden above the grocery. This project was an early adopter of landscape design meeting Seattle’s Green Factor requirements, which enhance residents’ and visitors’ experience of the site as well as the overall neighborhood.
