Rubix was planned to introduce energy to the street. Located one block off the commercial core of the neighborhood – Broadway Ave. East in Capitol Hill – this mixed-use destination features the ability to commingle the residents and the public.

A cafe in the northeast corner is intended to bring similar activities found on Broadway Ave E into the neighborhood. The cafe opens up the street, the residential lobby, and an outdoor court at the center of the “L-shaped” site providing a public quality to the ground level.

Kinetic sculptures by artist Andrew Carson add to the public ground level experience and continues a sense of energy. Landscaped areas echo the inflected architectural forms to provide semi-private areas for residents and variety along the street.
