The Tukwila Commuter Rail Station design relates to the rail infrastructure on the site. Steel supports bolster the shelters: laminated glass windscreens run along the back and side walls of the shelters to shield commuters from the wind and rain. Canopies offer overhead protection and provide lighting. Other elements include bike storage program signage and kiosks that afford quick access to commuter information. The design complies with Sound Transit Design Standards and Guidelines, City of Tukwila Municipal Code, and ADA Accessibility standards.
